The International Foundation for Aids to Navigation (IFAN) is delighted to announce the appointment of Francesca Pradelli as Development Manager. She will be enhancing IFAN’s international network, with a view to supporting an increasing number of projects that are closely aligned with IFAN’s declared and agreed charitable objectives.
Francesca brings to IFAN a solid experience of both the maritime legal private sector and the international one, thanks to her previous experiences in top Italian maritime law firms; at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in London; as well as the United Nations Peacekeeping Department (DPKO) – Security Sector Reform Unit (SSR) in New York and the Pacific Community (SPC) in Fiji.
Discussing her appointment, Francesca Pradelli said: “While at SPC I managed IFAN’s sponsored ‘Pacific Safety of Navigation project’, so I’m very familiar with the important work they carry out. I’m looking forward to working with IFAN’s Charitable Expenditure Committee and the rest of the team to implement IFAN’s strategy to support safer navigation for vessels and the protection of the marine environment.”
Peter Stanley, IFAN’s CEO, added: “Francesca is going to be a great asset to the team, and we’re pleased to have her onboard to help drive forward our charitable objectives.”
